Utah goes DAO, a Young Woman goes West
Why did the decentralized autonomous organization hire both the scientist and the lawyer?
Because they wanted to ensure that their decision-making process had plenty of smart contracts!
According to a report released by Cointelegraph, the U.S. State of Utah, on March 1, passed the Utah DAO Act. Act HB 357 allows for a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) to incorporate, which in turn recognizes it as a legal entity and grants it complete legal protection under State law.
What makes this such a big deal is that it shows a growing trend toward crypto-friendly legislation in the United States (U.S.) Many are not aware that the U.S. State of Wyoming passed the first-in-world law recognizing DAOs as legal entities. This happened on July 1, 2021.
What many may be aware of though is that states such as Florida and Texas have invested heavily in the crypto community. Other states such as Kentucky, Idaho, Virginia, and Nebraska are also keen on developing crypto economies. These acts of legislation and interest at the State level are encouraging because they demonstrate that while many in the Federal Government serving under the current administration are arguably not pro-crypto, many at the State levels of government are. I don’t know about you, but given the very questionable antics of grisly Gary Gensler and his surrogates at the SEC — and amidst the hype and perceived persecution — er, I mean prosecution of the crypto industry, we thought it might be a good time for some positive news :)
“Go West, young man”
This very iconic phrase is about as American as it gets. No one knows who first penned it, but most credit author and newspaper editor Horace Greeley with its introduction into the conscience of a nation.
This phrase denotes the mindset and will to seek out new places where innovation and ideas can come to life. The best of these in turn are able to embolden and transform, not just individuals; but groups, communities, and even society.
The Wild West is known for many things (good, bad, and ugly) and has gone through many iterations; some of the most notable being the internet boom, the Dot.com boom, and the rise of crypto banking. At present and according to the SEC, the current trend in the Wild West is crypto. Apparently, crypto is the Jesses James of our time. That being said, ya gotta have a thick hide and jowls of leather to ride with this crowd. Well, enough with the machoistic approach…who says all outlaws have to be boys?
Allow us to spin a yarn about a young woman who went West. This lady was born in Vietnam and moved to Singapore at the age of 15. The woman in question currently resides in Los Angeles, California. This international mystery woman is, of course, our very own Vy Pham (Ms Vy).
Ms Vy is the CEO and co-founder of RoboGlobal Investments, which operates RoboInu Finance (RBIF). Today, brilliance is beauty, not that she isn’t the cat’s meow in the latter: she most recently has her MBA from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona. Ms Vy is certified in Decentralized Finance Structure from Duke University. The lady is multi-lingual having technical proficiency in Vietnamese, Mandarin, and English. She was the Marketing Director for NFTBOOKS. She has a B2B sales background. Yeah, you could kinda say she’s a force of freakin’ nature.
Speaking of powerful figures, Jack Ma is a somewhat complicated and mysterious Chinese tech entrepreneur and billionaire. Yup, she worked for him too. In a maritime tech start-up. She was pretty good at her job and was promoted to Head of Regional Tech Sales. Since college, she has been working for one start-up after another, always helping them to achieve success.
